Wesley Ira Moore, born in 1978 in Takoma Park, Maryland, is a bestselling author, Rhodes Scholar, Army combat veteran who served in Afghanistan, and former CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation. He won the Maryland governorship in 2022 in a landslide, becoming only the third Black governor in American history.
